May 4: free public transport and changes in operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that on May 4 public transport will be available for free and there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres onthe holiday eve and the holidays.
Public transport
On May 4, due to celebrations, transport traffic in Aspazijas Boulevard next to Freedom monument, in Raiņa Boulevard next to Freedom monument, as well as in other places where celebrations will take place may be restricted or closed for a short while, if necessary.
On Monday, May 6, public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to the holiday schedule.
On May 4 and 6, express buses and minibuses will run according to Sunday and holiday schedules.
Night transport will be provided in the night of May 3/4 and May 4/5.
Tickets
On May 4, Riga residents and guests will be able to use buses, trams, trolleybuses and minibuses (white-and-blue) free of charge.
Passengers who have bought tickets for working days shall take into account that on May 6 these tickets will not be valid in public transport.
Customer service centres
On the holiday eve, May 3, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be open from 8:00 until 17:00, but other customer service centres will be open as usually on working days – until 19:00. We also remind that the customer service centre of „Rīgas satiksme” at Vienības gatve 117A is closed from May 1, 2019.
On May 4, all customer service centres will be closed.
On May 5, the customer service centre at Spīķeru Street 1 will be open from 10:00 until 16:00, the other five customer service centres will be closed.
On Monday, May 6, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be closed, the other five customer service centres will be open from 10:00 until 16:00.
On Friday, May 3, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 191 will serve legal persons from 8:00 until 13:00.
Parking lots
On May 4, the pay parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except for the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a (next to the House of Congresses) where parking services will be charged for according to the existing tariffs.
We also remind that from May 1 until September 30 parking in Vecāķi is for pay (V tariff zone). The price of using parking lots in V zone is 2 euros per day. On May 4, parking in Vecāķi will be for free.
On Monday, May 6, the pay parking lots located in Old Riga (zone R) will work from 06:00 until 24:00 according to the existing tariffs. Other pay parking lots will work on May 6 from 9:00 until 17:00. The underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a (next to the House of Congresses) will work according to the existing tariffs.
On the Mother’s Day, May 12, the pay parking lots operated by „Rīgas satiksme” will be available free of charge, except for the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a (next to the House of Congresses) where parking services will be charged for according to the existing tariffs.
